Blairgowrie is situated between the popular towns of Rye and Sorrento providing a favourable destination for holiday makers. The calm waters of Port Philip Bay often contrast severely with the sometimes treacherous waters of Bass strait. Blairgowrie is also a hot spot for yachts with the Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron having its home here. The Mornington National Park runs along the coastline on the Bass Strait side and is a great spot for enjoying the coastal scenery and taking a walk. Kids especially will love the sand dunes here. Koonya Ocean Beach is easily accessible and Bridgewater Bay is absolutely gorgeous.
